Geotab to discuss why fleets should prioritise driver wellbeing at GBFE 2025

Geotab, the global leader in connected vehicle and asset solutions, will share vital insights on prioritising driver wellbeing at the 2025 Great British Fleet Event.

Geotab will reveal how you can support your drivers and improve fleet safety

A headline partner at the show, Geotab will reveal how you can support your drivers, improve fleet safety and help combat stress, anxiety and sleep deprivation amongst the UK’s commercial vehicle drivers.

Mental health challenges, such as stress and anxiety, can lead to distracted driving and ultimately increase risks.

A study conducted by Geotab in October 2024, surveying 500 professional UK lorry and van drivers (392 male/108 female), found a staggering 93% of commercial drivers believe that work-related stress negatively affects their driving. This highlights an urgent need for fleet managers to implement strategies that prioritise mental wellbeing among drivers.

Moreover, latest real-world data from Geotab shows UK commercial vehicle drivers are travelling fewer miles before a collision. The analysis reveals that the total distance per collision driven by lorry and van operators in the UK decreased by almost one-fifth (19.12%) in 2023, from 920,000 miles to 740,000 miles.

The use of technology in fleet management is an opportunity to enhance both driver safety and mental health. For example, Geotab’s data intelligence and AI models enable fleets to enhance safety measures, while also improving productivity and reducing costs.

At the Geotab stand at GBFE 2025 – taking place on 8 May in Milton Keynes – the firm’s experts will speak to operators about the type of actions employers can take to make their lives easier and reduce stress.

And Amanda Welland, partner account manager Geotab, will be on the podium for the GBFE Masterclass conferences to present the case for driver wellbeing.
