“Collect My Car” – at www.gecollectmycar.com – allows drivers and fleet managers to arrange the time and location of vehicle collections, manage any subsequent changes and cancellations and even ask for a valuation if they want to buy their company car.

The website, which is designed for smartphone and tablet-compatibility as well as for use on desktop and laptop PCs, interfaces directly in real-time into GE Capital’s fleet disposal systems, and is intended to create a seamless process for the collection and sale of end-of-life vehicles.

Tim Maffey, asset management leader for GE Capital UK, said: ‘Our attitude to, and investment in, technology development is that it should be used to make the life of our customers easier through driving constant improvement and ‘Collect My Car’ very much fits into that way of thinking.’
