Mobility app Freenow has expanded its taxi and minicab service to Luton.

Freenow is making 700 taxis and minicabs available to start with in Luton

It’s making 700 taxis and minicabs available to start with, all available to book via the Freenow app.

The expansion follows the recent sponsorship announcement to Luton Town Football Club as Freenow becomes the team’s official mobility partner.

To celebrate the launch, Freenow is launching co-branded cabs and is offering a 50% discount to new users in Luton by using the code ‘LUTONLAUNCH’ to take advantage of this offer.

The Freenow app is currently available across 150 cities in Europe, including London, Manchester and Edinburgh, and has more than 48 million users globally. Besides cabs, users can also access a variety of other vehicles, including e-scooters and e-bikes in London.

Mariusz Zabrocki, UK general manager, said: “This expansion will allow us to support residents and visitors, particularly fans of Luton Town F.C. and other football clubs, to move around in an effortless and convenient way while supporting local cab drivers by giving them access to more jobs and other unique advantages, such as support with EV transition, that they can access by using our app.”
