Available free of charge, Mile Tracker App is available for iPhone and Android users, and offers three key elements – a GPS-based Mileage Tracker, a Journey Log and a Locate My Car function, as well as a Fuel Station Finder to be launched exclusively to Mercedes-Benz customers later in the year.

The Mileage Tracker tool enables users to start, pause and save a journey, then review it on a map and add in any additional costs, such as food and drink, parking and tolls – a solution designed specifically with business car drivers in mind.

Once saved, the Journey Log then contains all of the journeys tracked and enables users to review any single journey. Reports can then be edited, for example to change the name of a journey, add expenses, duplicate the route or email the details to up to three preferred addresses for reference.

For users parking in an unfamiliar area or who want a reminder ahead of their ticket expiry time, the Locate My Car feature can be used simply by saving the location on the app's map, writing a description of the location, and setting a ticket time reminder which uses the smart phone's functionality. When returning to the vehicle, users simply press the ‘route' button to be shown the quickest way back to the car.
