A rival to the Nissan Juke, the model will be aimed at urban drivers and will feature ‘a clearly robust and substantial yet stylish bodyshape’.

The teaser pic shows the concept features the brand’s “tiger nose” grille and “ice cube” headlights, seen on the new Pro_Cee’d GT.

An interior shot also shows a single-piece moulding for the centre console and seats.

Kia adds that there are no current plans for production but that the vehicle's debut at Frankfurt will be ‘used to gauge potential customer response for future showroom models’.

The model will be unviled at Frankfurt on 10th September.
