Dubbed Vignale (pronounced: Vin-ya-lay), the premium product will combine unique interior and exterior design touches, premium craftsmanship, exclusive specification and technologies along with an enhanced ownership experience said to be inspired by exclusive services from areas such as air travel.

To showcase such features, Ford is unveiling the Mondeo Vignale Concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show, featuring 20-inch Vignale alloys, “Vignale” badging, chrome door handles and mirror caps, mesh grille, bespoke front bumper and fog lamp design, and quilted leather trim.

It also features the Ford SYNC with MyFord Touch in-car connectivity system, which will enable integration of smartphones and deliver wi-fi capability, along with new-generation adaptive LED headlamps.

The first production versions in the line-up will be the Mondeo Vignale saloon and wagon, due in early 2015, with other models to gain Vignale version.

The carmaker says that higher-specification models currently account for more than half of Ford’s large car sales in Europe.

‘Ford Vignale premium services will meet the needs of the customer for whom time is the ultimate luxury,’ said Gaetano Thorel, Marketing vice president, Ford of Europe.
