Cavanagh has some 26 years of continuous service with Volkswagen Financial Services and the wider Volkswagen Group, and 19 years with the SEAT and Cupra brands, spanning sales, fleet and used car roles.

In her new role, Ahmet will work to redefine Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ Approved Used programme, with the ambition to ensure that buying a used vehicle is an easy and positive experience.

Jonathan Cooke joins the team as national sales manager

The trio of new appointments also includes the arrival of Jonathan Cooke as national sales manager. His background includes roles in corporate sales, finance sales and team leadership, most recently as head of dealer networks for Alphabet. His new remit is to manage a team of area sales managers and the Van Centre network, amid the recent arrival of the ID. Buzz range and the launch of the all-new Amarok later in the year.

The new team will work together to support the national sales teams and Van Centres across the UK, further enhancing customer service and experience, across purchasing, finance and servicing.

Cian O’Brien, director of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, said: “We’re delighted to have a full sales team in place and to welcome these new faces to the brand. This is an exciting time for us as we consolidate our first full electric models into the range and offer customers a wider range than ever before.
