Facelifted Volkswagen T-Roc opens for order

Orders are open for the revised Volkswagen T-Roc line-up, which introduces new styling, a more luxurious interior and tech upgrades.

The T-Roc range revisions bring enhancements right across the model family, including the T-Roc Cabriolet and the R performance model

Priced from £25,000, the line-up brings enhancements right across the model family, including the T-Roc Cabriolet and the R performance model.

For the standard T-Roc SUV, changes include upgrades to the interior, which features a redesigned dashboard and higher-grade materials throughout.

It also adopts a simplified trim line-up based on VW’s ‘Y-shape’ set-up of the entry-level Life, luxury and comfort-focused Style, and sportily styled R-Line – as seen on a number of other Volkswagen models.

Standard equipment on the Life now brings LED headlights, an 8.0-inch Digital Cockpit, wireless App Connect via the 8.0-inch Ready 2 Discover infotainment system, and 16-inch alloy wheels, black roof rails and interior ambient lighting. Driver assistance systems include Lane Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control and Front Assist.

The T-Roc Style, starting at £27,635 and predicted to be the best seller, bolsters this with the larger Digital Cockpit Pro, Discover Media navigation infotainment system, sports comfort seats finished in ArtVelours microfleece, privacy glass from the B-pillar backwards and LED ‘Plus’ headlights with different light modes for poor weather.

It’s also marked out with a bespoke rear bumper and 17-inch alloy wheels.

The T-Roc R-Line starts at £30,435 and gains R-Line specific body styling, unique 17-inch alloy wheels, sports suspension, silver roof rails and an interior featuring sportier elements such as a black roof lining and R-Line badging, and gloss black design trim in the dashboard. Specific driver-focused features include progressive steering, selectable driving modes and stainless steel pedals.

It’s available with a choice of seven engines, with both three- and four-cylinder units, petrol and diesel options, six-speed manual and 7-speed DSG variants. Power ranges from the 110hp TSI units to the 190hp TSI. Volkswagen’s 4Motion all-wheel drive system is available on the highest-powered models – the 150hp TDI and 190hp TSI. Technical and pricing data for the full range of T-Roc engines is available below.

The T-Roc Cabriolet benefits from many of the enhancements applied to its five-door, hard-top sibling. These include a refreshed design, additional interior luxury, the availability of IQ.Light LED Matrix headlights and new paint colours, as well as a new ‘Style’ trim to replace the previous Design specification.

Two petrol engine options continue for the T-Roc Cabriolet: a 110hp 1.0-litre, three-cylinder unit and a 150hp 1.5-litre, four-cylinder engine.

It’s priced from £30,530 for the Style trim, equipped with the 1.0-litre engine with manual gearbox, and from £34,170 for the T-Roc Cabriolet R-Line, available exclusively with the 150hp 1.5-litre TSI.

The T-Roc R receives the same upgrades as the regular T-Roc, while maintaining its 300hp 2.0-litre TSI engine, 0-62mph acceleration time of 4.9 seconds and 155mph top speed.

Compared to its predecessor, it adds in keyless entry and revised styling.

The T-Roc R is priced from £40,445 and equipped exclusively with a seven-speed DSG transmission and 4Motion four-wheel drive.
