Entries open for Brake’s UK Fleet Champions Awards 2024

Brake’s UK Fleet Champions Awards 2024 are now open for entries from safety-conscious fleet operators, suppliers, manufacturers and individuals.

This year’s awards will celebrate winners across 11 different awards categories

This year, Brake has partnered with Driving for Better Business from National Highways to deliver the awards, which recognise the achievements of those working to prevent crashes and reduce pollution caused by work vehicles.

Entries for the 2024 UK Fleet Champions Awards will close on Friday 31 May. The awards are free to enter and are an excellent way to celebrate the hard work of the organisations and individuals across the fleet sector that make road safety a priority.

All entries will be judged and presented at a ceremony at New Dock Hall at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, on Thursday 3 October 2024. This is the same venue as last year’s event which brought together more than 230 people from across the fleet industry to celebrate 60 shortlisted organisations and individuals, with winners across 11 different awards categories.

This year’s award categories are:

  • Company Driver Safety (Sponsored by Fleetmaster)
  • Public Sector Driver Safety
  • Sustainable Journeys (Sponsored by Zurich Resilience Solutions)
  • Dr Will Murray Award for Analysis and Action (Sponsored by eDriving)
  • Fleet Driver of the Year (Sponsored by Samsara)
  • Fleet Safety Innovation
  • Fleet Safety Partnership (Sponsored by AXA UK)
  • Fleet Safety Product
  • Road Safety in the Community
  • Safe Vehicles
  • Road Risk Manager of the Year (Sponsored by QBE)
  • Kevin Storey Award for Outstanding Commitment to Road Safety

Mark Cartwright, head of commercial vehicle incident prevention at National Highways, and Anne-Marie Penny, Senior Road Safety Policy Advisor and lead for Driving for Better Business, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Brake on their prestigious UK Fleet Champions Awards. It’s a brilliant opportunity to recognise some of the great work going on behind the scenes to make our roads safer through good management of driving risk. Working together, we hope to realise the vision that those that use the roads for work do so safely, efficiently, and sustainably, and that everyone gets home safe and well.”

Entry forms and guidance can be accessed from the Global Fleet Champions website.
