DriverCheck evolves further with new management structure

Automotive technology solutions firm Ebbon Group is expanding its DriverCheck business further through investment in a new management structure, offices and technology.

L-R: Sinead Moy, Yvette Giannini and Christina Telford make up the new management structure at DriverCheck

Based in Glasgow, licence and compliance specialist DriverCheck has appointed Yvette Giannini as head of operations. She now leads everything bar new business sales and reports into joint group CEOs, Robert Pilkington and Craig Gibbin.

It’s also promoted Sinead Moy to operations manager while Christina Telford will head up the financial side of the business.

The new appointments will enable the continued expansion and development of the business, which is also currently recruiting within the sales and account management area.

Alongside investment in new offices and technology, the recruitment drive also underscores Ebbon Group’s commitment to evolving the business.

Acquired by Ebbon Group in November 2021, DriverCheck joined the existing Licence Check business bought by the group in 2018. The firms form part of Ebbon Compliance, described as the UK’s largest driving licence checking and vehicle compliance business with a combined 1.6 million licence checks per annum.

DriverCheck has a 1,200-strong client base that includes a host of household names in the insurance, utilities and automotive sectors along with a strong representation amongst local authorities. Companies within its customer portfolio include dealer group, Arnold Clark, aerospace, defence and security company, Babcock International, and air quality management and parking enforcement provider, Marston Holdings.

New heads of operations Yvette Giannini said: “I’m looking forward immensely to heading up the day-to-day operations at DriverCheck, and continuing to provide a first-rate professional, automated system of licence and compliance checking that we have become nationally renowned for.”

Ebbon Compliance is one of three distinct and separate business areas – alongside Ebbon Automotive and Ebbon Intelligence – announced recently in a restructuring designed to provide greater clarity of structure across the Ebbon Group.

Ebbon Automotive provides well-known solutions such as the Leaselink e-procurement platform, new vehicle delivery solution moDel and Stockviewer, the campaign management solution.

Ebbon Intelligence is the group’s research and development arm which has been established to develop innovative new products and solutions that tackle current and future issues facing the global automotive community.
