Compleo launches 200kW ultra-rapid EV charger to transform on-the-go charging

EV charging solutions specialist Compleo has revealed its new 200kW DC EV charger at a VIP event in Soho.

The eTower 200 is able to deliver 200kW ultra-fast charging to two vehicles simultaneously

Able to deliver 200kW ultra-fast charging for two vehicles simultaneously, the eTower 200 can power EVs to tackle hundreds of miles in less than half an hour.

It’s designed to “redefine the EV charging experience”, particularly for charge point operators (CPOs) looking to upgrade on-the-go charging for electric vehicle drivers. But it’s also aimed at fleets, especially those that have very short downtime or double-shift their vans and those with depots.

The charge point’s power distribution system ensures power is shared where it’s needed most. The unit’s seven power modules balance power distribution to both vehicles, depending on each EV’s charging curve and state of charge.

Other features include a user-friendly design, easy installation, compact slimline build – designed for areas such as multi-storey car parks or back-to-back installations – and “exceptional” power efficiency.

The unit also works with a wide variety of back-end platforms/apps/charge cards.

Joerg Lohr, CEO of Compleo, which came under the ownership of the Kostal Group last August, said the eTower 200 is poised to help EV drivers with charging difficulties.

He commented: “I always tell the team, ‘We are not selling a piece of hardware to our customers, we are selling uptime availability and reliability’.

“We are super convinced that in the future we can provide you with even better products.”

The new charger will start shipping to UK customers in May, with a focus for the UK team on training service suppliers for installations and maintenance in the meantime.
