Climatecars connects with Siemens
The Siemens CP500A fast charging point, which provides fast charging facilities for two electric vehicles at the same time, has been installed to charge a number of new 100% electric saloon cars with zero emissions which have recently been added to Climatecars’ low-carbon hybrid fleet.
Nicko Williamson, managing director of Climatecars, said: ‘We are every excited about the introduction of zero emission electric vehicles to Climatecars' fleet and in Siemens we have the ideal supplier of infrastructure support and service.'
Climatecars offers a range of options to help Londoners get around comfortably and safely with reduced impact to the environment. Enhancing its fleet of hybrid cars, which run on a combination of petrol and electricity, resulting in significantly reduced emissions, the new 100% electric saloon cars with zero emissions are ideal for shorter trips in central London. Additional electric cars are currently being tested by Climatecars.
According to Mark Bonnor-Moris, Siemens head of Electromobillity UK and Ireland, the Siemens charging stations can fully charge vehicles in just one hour ensuring maximum vehicle availability. ‘Siemens also provides a full supply, installation and maintenance service. As the UK’s largest provider of traffic control and signalling equipment, we have a specialist field service operation that is able to support EV charging infrastructure as part of a much larger portfolio of work. This ensures that the EV chargers are maintained to a high and consistent service level ensuring the highest performance in terms of availability and safety.’
