City Auction Group is expanding its secure vehicle storage facilities with three new PurpleRock centres.

The new sites increase the group’s capacity to more than 5,000 vehicles

Located in Edinburgh, Oakham and Peterborough, the new sites increase its capacity to more than 5,000 vehicles, complementing current operations in Wittering and Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Fully managed preparation facilities are available for short-, mid-, and long-term storage options, catering to OEMs, dealer groups, daily rental organisations and leasing companies.

All three PurpleRock centres will provide fully managed compound services featuring in-life management solutions, vehicle repair body shops, mechanical repair, VUMO AI 360 video imagery and under-chassis scanners, BVRLA and NAMA inspection services as well as retail valet and UK wide handover services for clients and consumers.

PurpleRock now operates 12 vehicle delivery centres nationwide with an in-house logistics business delivering auction vehicles across the UK and Northern Ireland.

Michael Tomalin, CEO of City Auction Group, commented: “These new facilities are a game-changer for the business, further expanding our UK footprint and strengthening our logistics offering. The group is now recognised as a major player in the automotive sector, working in unison with some of the largest global OEMs, fleet and leasing companies, financial institutions, franchised dealer groups, and major independent car supermarkets.
