The line-up includes three new C3 variants, which feature the e-HDi 90 micro-hybrid powertrain and feature eco measures such as second-generation Stop & Start. As a result, emissions range from 93g/km for one model, to 98g/km for the other two while fuel economy is 78.5mpg and 76.3mpg respectively.

In addition, the C3 HDi 70 manual VT has been revised and now offers more efficient fuel consumption and lower emissions. CO2 output reduces from 112g/km to 99g/km with improved fuel economy of 74.3mpg over a combined cycle, up from 65.7mpg.

The C4 e-HDi 110 Airdream EGS6 VTR+ has also been revised to give sub-100g/km emissions. Thanks to a new Aerodynamic Pack and Michelin EnergySaver low rolling resistance tyres, CO2 emissions are reduced from 109g/km to just 98g/km – one of the lowest for a vehicle in this class.

Linda Jackson, Citroen UK’s managing director, commented: 'Citroen is committed to improving the efficiency of all its vehicles, minimising running costs to benefit drivers and reducing emissions to help the environment. With 10 Citroen models now emitting between zero and 100g/km of CO2, new car buyers have an even greater choice of environmentally-considerate models to suit a variety of driving preferences.'
