Cenex-LCV to explore innovations in fleet charging

The line-up for this year’s Cenex-LCV and Cenex-CAM event has been revealed, delivering more than 100 speakers and some 30+ seminar sessions that will include look at fleet charging innovations.

Keynote speakers and seminar topics have now been confirmed for the two-day event

The low-carbon and connected automated mobility event takes place on 6-7 September 2023 and keynote speakers have now been confirmed as:

  • Jesse Norman MP, Minister of State, Decarbonisation and Technology
  • Indro Mukerjee, CEO, Innovate UK
  • Professor Sarah Sharples, chief scientist, Department for Transport
  • David Bickerton, director general, business sectors, Department for Business and Trade
  • Mike Hawes, CEO, Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT)
  • Ian Constance, CEO, Advanced Propulsion Centre UK

The seminar programme for the two-day event, which includes Fleet World as a media sponsor, will span themes including innovations in fleet charging, hydrogen and net-zero cities, the market opportunities for connected automated mobility (CAM) and the regulatory pathway for CAM.

Speakers confirmed for the fleet charging session include experts from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), OnCharge and Mole.

The sessions, which will be held across four separate seminar areas, will also include leading industry figures from the likes of Ford, Aston Martin, DAF, Toyota, McLaren Applied, Nissan, Jaguar Land Rover and Williams Advanced Engineering share their latest developments in the areas of low-carbon vehicle and CAM technology.

The agenda will also include a look at ZEV Mandates, exploring international perspectives and the UK opportunity and featuring speakers from UK, including the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles, plus the USA, EU and India.

The agenda will have a strong focus on overcoming barriers to implementation and adoption, reflecting the rapid progress made in both the low-carbon vehicle and connected automated mobility sectors in recent years.

Cenex CEO Robert Evans stated: “For vehicle electrification, we’re at a stage where many companies have matured their technology. It’s now less about new technology development and more about finding routes to market. This will be reflected in many of the seminar sessions across the two days of the event.”
