BVRLA Industry Outlook Conference to look ahead to 2023

The BVRLA’s flagship Industry Outlook Conference is returning next month, giving delegates a look ahead to 2023 while also exploring new technological solutions.

The in-person event will include a look at the economic outlook for 2023 and introduces a new Fleet Technology Spotlight

The in-person event takes place at the British Motor Museum in Gaydon on Wednesday 7 December and will include a look at the economic outlook for 2023 from David Smith, economics editor of The Sunday Times. Delegates will also hear about how the changing policy and regulatory landscape will impact their business.

This year’s event also introduces a Fleet Technology Spotlight, comprising three expert panels to explore how technology will help companies tackle the challenges of 2023. Topics under focus include Customer Service & Digitisation, Smart Charging & Energy Management, and Compliance Technology.

The association will also launch the findings of its Industry Outlook Report. The report will contain data and views of BVRLA members to outline what experts are seeing on the horizon and how operating conditions may change next year. The findings will be discussed by a varied panel containing representatives from Arnold Clark, Enterprise, Octopus Electric Vehicles, ProHire, United Rental Group and Zenith.

BVRLA chief executive Gerry Keaney said: “After years of seeing a single issue dominate so much of our thinking, 2023 will see us face challenges on multiple fronts. The cost-of-living crisis, ongoing supply concerns and the threat of further economic turbulence will all combine to present a testing time.

“BVRLA members are not alone. Through this conference we are bringing members of all sizes and business types together. Backed by the insights of our Industry Outlook Report, we will explore what 2023 has in store and discuss how our sector can thrive.”

The 2022 conference is being supported by Coastr, Davis, Geotab and Mina, while a host of other suppliers will also exhibit, giving delegates the chance to explore new services in the multiple networking sessions.

Physical tickets are available via the BVRLA website to members and non-members. A reduced rate is also available to SMEs. Email [email protected] for more details.
