The firm, which is based in Völklingen, Saarland, is already active all around Europe and the US and is now aiming to expand into China, which outstripped the US in 2009 to become the largest car market in the world.

Bahr & fess forecasts GmbH says it's embarking on extensive research work into the complex and still young Chinese second-hand car market for a renowned European automotive company.

The company provides forecasting data going back up to five years and covering five years into the future. It says that its methodology will be adjusted to the characteristics of the Chinese market. In the medium term, it will invest in a location including an own-team on site in China.
