Headquartered in Newbridge, McNicoll operates a varied fleet comprising vans and cars, and has a strong reputation as a trustworthy and customer-centric locally owned business.

“McNicoll Vehicle Hire has built a strong reputation for delivering an exceptional level of service to their customer base and the Scottish market,” said Alan Olivier-Smith, Avis Budget Group UK general manager.

“Investing in Scotland, broadening our vehicle rental offering, and working alongside a locally owned and well-renowned business is a core focus for us from a business and cultural perspective. As we venture into this exciting partnership, we look forward to building on the McNicoll team’s passion and expertise for short-term and long-term vehicle hire,” he added.

McNicoll managing director David Stewart commented: “We’re really pleased to be working with Avis Budget Group who have recognised our reputation as a reputable and trustworthy Scottish brand known for providing a premium service, in the knowledge that their global esteem can help further grow our local legacy.

“The values of Avis Budget Group are strongly aligned with those of McNicoll and our combined vision for the future gives our talented local staff amazing opportunities to develop their careers.

“By combining the strengths of the two companies, we are able to provide our loyal customer base with an even better rental experience whilst also attracting new customers across Scotland. We’re very much looking forward to a bright future.”
