Aston Barclay reveals post-Xmas auction programme

Aston Barclay has announced details of its 2021 post-Xmas auctions as it predicts its 2020 festive sales record will be beaten.

Aston Barclay events over the festive period include a dedicated Zenith fleet sale on 30 December

Events include a dedicated Zenith fleet sale on 30 December, offering more than 1,000 used cars and comprising direct NAMA 1-3 grade fleet units, available through Aston Barclay’s e-Xchange bid and buy online auction platform.

Aston Barclay Chelmsford is also running its first sale of the year on the 3 January bank holiday to cater for expected strong wholesale demand post-Christmas. This will have over 400 cars available from vendors such as The Car Buying Group, Car Giant, Gates, John Banks and Sascron.

In 2020 Aston Barclay reported its best Christmas sales period for eight years selling £1.5m of used cars and the firm says 2021 could see this record beaten as drivers continue to turn to used cars while new car supplies remain compromised.

“We have run auctions between Xmas and New Year for a number of years to support dealer buyers and fleet vendors who want to replace sold stock, or who are looking for a specific car for a customer during the holidays,” explained Martin Potter, Aston Barclay’s MD – customer.

“We have a good range of stock that covers a wide range of price bands so there are used cars available for both franchised and independent dealers,” he added.
