The awards recognise the exceptional talent of finance directors and their teams across the North of England, celebrating the often-unsung heroes of any business.

Shortlisted in the category of limited companies with revenues over £100m, Khot has been with Aston Barclay for two and a half years and is credited with having successfully marshalled the business through the Covid-19 pandemic, as well setting it up for future growth and investment.

Khot said: “I am very grateful to have been shortlisted. This has given me a chance to reflect on my career and achievements to date. It has been a holistic experience, as the process focuses on technical abilities, but also on values, culture and ESG aspects, which are relevant to my role.”

In their fifth year, the awards are sponsored by Grant Thornton, Page Group and Squire Patton Boggs and Aston Barclay’s category includes major companies such as LNER, De Vere Hotels, End Clothing and Symington’s.

The winners will be announced in September.
