Aston Barclay appoints new Wakefield auction centre manager

Aston Barclay has appointed Dean Ashworth as its new auction centre manager for Wakefield.

Ashworth brings more than two decades of experience in the automotive sector and joins from Available Car, where he worked as general manager. He previously held roles at Marshall Motor Group, Manheim and Inchcape, working with brands such as Audi, Porsche and Volkswagen.

His background also includes the position of group buyer for Marshall Motor Group, where he was instrumental in sourcing and acquiring premium used Volkswagen and commercial vehicle stock.

At Aston Barclay, he will work alongside the existing Wakefield centre team to further enhance the auction centre’s operations, while leading sales strategy, managing used stock procurement and working to ensure exceptional customer service standards.

With a history of driving cultural change and maintaining high levels of brand compliance, Ashworth is also well-versed in training and developing staff to strive for service excellence.
