The company structure will include Paul Hollick as chair, Stewart Lightbody as deputy chair and Rick Baird as company secretary. Sales will be handled by Peter Eldridge and Rick Baird, marketing and media by Peter Eldridge and James Pestell, finance by Debbie Floyde, AFP events by Julie Summerell, industry events by Debbie Floyde and David Brown, and committee structures and output by Denise Lane.

In addition, Martin Evans, Peter Millchard, Marie Jarrold and Chris Joyce will sit as board members.

Paul Hollick said: “The coronavirus crisis means, we believe, that the AFP is even more relevant today than when it was first envisaged just a few months before we entered lockdown, with a very real need for professionals across the fleet sector to now share and access best practise ideas to handle the very many issues that are arising.

“Certainly, we are receiving a lot of interest from new members, which shows there is widespread recognition of the need for the kind of role that the organisation has been created to fulfil.”

Membership to the AFP can be done using the organisation’s new web site www.theafp.co.uk. Fleet Operator Corporate Membership costs £299, while Fleet Service Support Membership is available at four levels: bronze at £299 and providing one employee membership, silver at £500 with two employee memberships; gold at £1,000 with four employee memberships; and platinum at £2,000 with unlimited memberships.

The AFP was formed earlier in the year in March following the merging of the Association of Car Fleet Operators (ACFO) and the Institute of Car Fleet Management (ICFM). Membership to ACFO is now unavailable and all AFP memberships include entry to the ICFM.
