All-electric Seres 3 SUV to land this spring with sub-£30k price tag
UK importer IA Electric Vehicles has confirmed a spring arrival date for the Seres 3 electric SUV.

The latest Chinese challenger to enter the EV fray, the 3 will be priced from £29,995, making it the only electric SUV on the market with a sub-£30,000 price tag, according to IA Electric Vehicles.
The Seres 3 is powered by a 54kWh lithium-ion battery, giving a combined range of 205 miles (WLTP). It’s capable of recharging in some 30 minutes (20% to 80%). The 161hp electric motor gives a zero to 62mph sprint in under nine seconds.
The Nissan Qashqai-sized 3 was revealed by carmaker Seres at the London EV Show in December 2023. Seres is part of the Seres Group and has its automotive arm based in California.
It’s one of two new Chinese brands landing in the UK under deals with Cirencester-based IA Electric Vehicles, which already imports DFSK EVs to the UK.
IA, which says it’s the UK’s first multi-brand electric vehicle company, will offer the Seres 3 in two grades: Active and Spirit.
The entry-level Active model comes with keyless start, reversing camera, air conditioning and a 10.25-inch touchscreen display. Meanwhile the Spirit is priced from £31,995 and adds a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging and heated front seats.
Other features include “a sophisticated dashboard design and a cutting-edge infotainment system”, along with leather-style upholstery, 18-inch anthracite-finish alloy wheels and front and rear LED lights.
The Seres 3 is also equipped with six airbags, ISOFIX on rear seats and a range of driver assistance aids as standard.
IA Electric Vehicles – which is inviting single- and multi-site automotive dealerships across the UK to get in touch about franchise opportunities – is also introducing China’s Skywell brand to the UK this year.
The first Skywell model to launch in the UK will be the ET5 midsize SUV, which delivers an official WLTP range of 304 miles, along with 204hp of power and the ability to quick charge 20%-70% in 38 minutes.
