Logistics UK’s Fleet Engineer conference is returning for 2024, helping fleets to keep abreast of ever-evolving commercial vehicle technologies.

A strong programme of speakers will give an objective view from manufacturers, industry experts and government

This year’s event takes place on Wednesday 19 June at the British Motor Museum, Warwickshire, and will focus on autonomous and alternatively fuelled vehicles.

Key topics include working with fuel cell technology and how it’s a viable alternative to BEVs. A strong programme of speakers will explore the preparation needed to evolve your maintenance environment for highly technical and alternatively fuelled vehicles, including implications for workshops and the staff who work in them.

Topics also under focus will be ‘Making the most of auditing’, ‘Training for today and tomorrow’, and ‘Enforcing and meeting the challenges of autonomy’.

Speakers include Kevin Rooney, Traffic Commissioner for the West of England, and Lawrence Thurbin, head of trials and licensing at the Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CCAV), within the Department for Transport.

The expert speaker line-up also includes Owen Jenkins, engineering manager, BPW; Chris Powell, partner at Weightmans and a leading road transport regulatory specialist; plus Neil Barlow, head of vehicle policy and engineering, DVSA.
