Mr Renshaw joins Fleet Alliance from Blackburn-based leasing company, MNH Platinum, where he was key account manager for three years.

Fleet Alliance managing director, Martin Brown, said the new appointment was part of the company's continued expansion and product development plans.

'We had a very strong recovery year last year with orders up 41%. Many companies who put their fleet buying on hold were back in the market as the economy continued to recover.

'At that run rate, it looks like we are on course to beat our record year of 2008 this year – and I'm predicting 25% growth for 2011,' he said.

Mr Brown added: 'We have had a successful recruitment drive during the last 12 months, taking on more very experienced staff of which Chris is one of several key appointments, and we fully expect to be taking on more this year,' said Martin Brown.

Mr Renshaw will be responsible for national sales to fleet customers operating up to 100-vehicles.

'I am delighted to be joining Fleet Alliance, which has a growing reputation in the fleet industry as a dynamic company that is really going places,' he commented.

'The company has developed a comprehensive and exciting portfolio of products and services for fleet customers, with the latest E-fleet online solution being a perfect example. E-fleet is a great selling point which will allow us to attract certain types of customers we have not attracted before.

'Fleet Alliance has ambitious five-year growth plans which I am keen to be part of, and when I enquired about the business in the industry, I received nothing but praise for its professionalism and respect for what it has achieved to date,' he said.
