The product – which allows manufacturers to offer fleet customers hundreds of everyday service and maintenance actions at fixed prices – is already well-established in the UK with Audi, Vauxhall, Ford, VW, Peugeot and Citroen. Renault is also a customer and has recently extended its Renault Fleet Charter menu pricing for fleets with epyx's help.

The menu pricing uses epyx's 1link Service Network e-commerce technology, designed to create fast and accurate online links between fleets and their service suppliers.

Ken Trinder, head of business development at motor industry e-commerce specialist epyx, explained that more and more manufacturers were turning to menu pricing through 1link in order to offer competitive, fixed prices to fleet customers and keep as much service and repair business within their franchise dealer networks as possible.

He said: 'The technological framework that we create allows manufacturers to create fleet menu pricing strategies within their franchise networks very easily and quickly at a very low cost to install and operate.

'Our e-commerce makes use of standard internet links and means that manufacturers can monitor menu pricing activity across their networks and make changes in reaction to market conditions in a matter of moments.

'This has been a very successful product for us in the UK and we believe that it has much potential across Europe where a similar level of price competition exists and we will offer to work with any manufacturers who want to offer our mutual customers the same benefits in other countries.'
