Vehicle logistics, storage and refurbishment under focus in May VRA meeting

The latest developments in vehicle logistics, storage and refurbishment will come under the spotlight at the next member meeting of the Vehicle Remarketing Association (VRA).

The event will explore latest developments in logistics, storage and refurbishment

Taking place at Cox Automotive’s Collaboration Centre at Bruntingthorpe, Leicestershire, on Thursday 15 May, it will centre around two discussion panels.

The first, on logistics, will feature Nick Chadaway, managing director of DMN, along with Engineius CEO Roger Evans and Laurence Hagger, senior general manager from CEVA Logistics.

The second panel, focused on refurbishment and storage, will include Tom Brennan, country manager at NVD UK, and Phil Walker, operations director at BCA.

The meeting will also hear from Matthew Croucher, chief economist in the public policy and vehicle legislation department at the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, on the Government’s changes to the ZEV mandate.

Finally, Phill Jones, chief operating officer at Motors, and Derren Martin, representing Percayso, will jointly update VRA members on new and used car market conditions.

Philip Nothard, chair at the VRA, said: “Logistics, storage and refurbishment are core remarketing services that have come under increasing pressure in recent years, with higher demands on capacity, service levels and pricing, as well as the need to handle new market developments such as electrification.

“However, companies operating in these spaces have responded in an innovative and enthusiastic fashion, and we’re looking forward to our discussions with key players about the latest developments being seen across these sectors. It should be an unmissable meeting.”
