Steven Eagell Group, the UK’s biggest Toyota and Lexus dealer group, has partnered with Jigcar to streamline its fleet and retail vehicle movements.

Steven Eagell Group will roll out the Jigcar platform for its expanding fleet busines

The dealer group piloted the Jigcar platform last year, recording savings of more than £300,000 across its 43 locations, and is now using the vehicle transportation tech solution for all retail movements.

The next stage of the partnership will see the Jigcar platform managing vehicle movements for Steven Eagell Group’s expanding fleet business.

Jigcar’s volume and movement data is being used to analyse the group’s transportation needs across its network, which has led to consolidation around vetted providers who were able to agree to lower rates based on clear volumes. This has improved efficiencies while the new rates agreed are worth £300,000 to the group on a yearly basis.

The partnership has also enabled the dealer group to consistently achieve retail vehicle movements within two days – three days quicker than the industry average, saving £30 per day per vehicle in stock costs and reducing days to sell.

“We’re delighted to be working with the Steven Eagell Group and helping it achieve significant vehicle movement cost savings,” said Elliott Perks, CEO of Jigcar.

“Fleets and dealers face transportation charges of up to £250 per vehicle; when that’s multiplied by thousands of vehicles the costs escalate. Everything we do is based around using our AI-driven platform to reduce cost per car and cost per mile to deliver bottom-line savings,” he said.

Sheraz Rashid, group operations director at Steven Eagell Group, said: “Since partnering with Jigcar we have greater visibility of transport costs across the business which has increased our efficiencies and helped us control costs and make significant savings.

“Jigcar has quickly delivered quantifiable cost savings across all our retail movements, so we are looking forward to working with them to achieve what could be even bigger savings across our fleet operations,” said Rashid.
