Specsavers campaign makes eyecare more eye-catching for fleets

Under safety, health and wellbeing regulations, it is the employer’s role to provide eyecare for relevant employees and ensure that this provision is communicated. Specsavers Corporate Eyecare has produced a range of posters to enable the employer to do just that.

The materials target screen-users, drivers and those requiring safety eyewear, as well as covering the importance of looking after the eyes and the benefits this can have for wider health and wellbeing. Managers can choose from designs that are thought-provoking or humorous. All are informative and can be edited to direct the employee to the specific individual who can assist them regarding eyecare in their workplace.

Laura Butler, key accounts manager for Specsavers Corporate Eyecare, said: ‘Our research has shown that employees highly value eyecare in the workplace. In many cases, it is also obligatory for the employer to provide and communicate eyecare benefits. Our campaign uses striking images and editable materials, which allow fleet managers, HR and health & safety professionals to engage with staff and make the route to eyecare, safety and wellbeing, an easy journey.’

She added: ‘We plan to continue to broaden the range of materials and raise awareness of eye health in the workplace.’
