Sogo supports veterans’ charity for 2022 challenge
Sogo is supporting fundraising work for veterans by suppling vehicles for a national challenge.
Sogo has donated three vehicles to the charity to support its nationwide challenge
The flexible leasing company has loaned three vehicles to the On Course Foundation for its nationwide relay challenge.
A team of 55 ex-servicemen and women will walk, run, cycle, swim and canoe 1,500km across the whole of the UK over two weeks, raising £150,000 to help wounded, injured and sick Armed Forces veterans with rehabilitation. The charity also helps to create long-term employment opportunities in golf and related industries.
Sogo has donated three vehicles to the charity – Nissan Qashqai, a Vauxhall Vivaro van and a Mercedes-Benz Vito Tourer – all of which will be used to transport participants involved in the challenge to the 40+ start and end destinations around the UK.
The vehicles have been liveried with the On Course Foundation donation details and joint branding, further supporting the charity’s work.
Mark Schorah, head of events and employment at The On Course Foundation, said: “We are overwhelmed by this generous donation of three vehicles from Sogo for the duration of our 2022 challenge. This will help us to achieve our aim of ensuring that the On Course Foundation can meet this latest challenge, one of the most ambitious and testing challenges we have ever mounted. It also gives us the impetus to build on our programme of events after not being able to do this type of activity throughout the pandemic and adds to the great work already done to positively impact the lives of more than 1000 veterans and serving Armed Forces personnel.”
