Sogo Mobility team delivers aid to Poland–Ukraine border

A team of volunteers from Sogo Mobility has made it to the Poland–Ukraine border to deliver much-needed aid to refugees.

Led by managing director Karl Howkins, the team travelled in vans to deliver blankets, clothing, medical supplies and food, supporting the Red Cross efforts as the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine continues.

The work follows a fundraising campaign that saw the fleet community – including Fleet World readers – raise more than £20k to support the work.

Karl Howkins said: “Our team is hugely grateful for the support we’ve received from the fleet industry. We’ve managed to deliver much-needed aid to the refugee effort at the Polish-Ukrainian border and support the Red Cross.

“The scale of the refugee effort at the border is startling, and it doesn’t look like improving anytime soon. So, I’d encourage everyone to do what they can to help these families who have had to flee their homes and lives in the most difficult of circumstances.”

The Sogo Mobility team are also continuing their work to raise as many funds as possible for the Red Cross – anyone interested in supporting can still donate on the Gofundme link.
