SmartWitness launches full-service live monitoring service
SmartWitness has launched a full service live monitoring system that provides complete 24/7 cover for fleets, regardless of what hardware is used.
The new SmartGuard service provides full-service monitoring of all live video cameras and telematics
Launched at the CV Show and intended to help cut costs and drive fleet risk management, the new SmartGuard service provides full-service monitoring of all live video cameras and telematics for all fleet sizes and alerts managers in the event of an emergency. The system is compatible with any camera or telematics system which is capable of transmitting data – whether existing telematics systems or in-vehicle cameras – and can be used across part or all of the fleet.
The SmartGuard call centre team is manned 24 hours a day and monitors all fleet vehicles, only contacting fleet managers in the event of an emergency.
Data is displayed in a series of user-friendly dashboards, alerts and reports.
Paul Singh, SmartWitness founder and CEO, said the system has a number of benefits: “Vehicle cameras that are not monitored do have an initial impact on driver behaviour but after a short space of time this reverts to “default” setting as operatives become used to having a camera in their vehicle. Monitored cameras ensure that standards are continually met and that problems and being fed back in real time.
“The other main benefit to monitoring is complete peace of mind for fleet managers who know that any time 24/7 if there is a serious incident it will be dealt with immediately and that driver safety and insurance FNOL will be sorted.”
