Škoda Superb SportLine on sale with enhanced dynamics and up to 265hp
Škoda’s latest-generation Superb is now available in SportLine guise, kitted out with athletic looks and bespoke dynamics.
Already seen on other Škoda models, the SportLine grade is now available for the fourth-generation Superb hatch and estate, positioned between the existing SE L and L&K models. At the same time, the Superb range has been further expanded with the availability of a new 2.0 TSI engine option.
The new SportLine grade is priced from £42,290 and comes with up to six drivetrain options, including a plug-in hybrid, and in both hatch and estate versions.
Instantly recognisable as a SportLine, the new model gets gloss black detailing along with unique bumpers, tailgate diffuser and black roof rails for the estate. It’s also equipped with 19-inch polished black alloy wheels, bespoke SportLine badging on the front wings and black Škoda lettering on the tailgate.
Inside, the new Superb comes with a unique SportLine Design Selection that adds front sports seats complete with heating and massage function, along with a three-spoke leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, black headlining and fully adjustable ambient lighting.
It’s not just design that’s uprated and the Superb SportLine delivers a 15mm lower chassis, progressive steering and DCC dynamic chassis control plus as standard.
A broad engine range delivers six different engine and transmission options. Petrol options are based around a 150hp 1.5 TSI unit and a 2.0 TSI with either 204hp or 265hp. All feature a seven-speed DSG gearbox as standard with the higher-powered petrol additionally offering all-wheel drive.
Diesel customers can opt for a 2.0 TDI with outputs of 150hp and 193hp. Both are equipped with a seven-speed DSG gearbox as standard with the higher-output engine also featuring all-wheel drive.
The estate is also available as the Superb SportLine iV, which features a plug-in hybrid drivetrain combining a 1.5 TSI petrol engine with a 110kW electric motor and a six-speed DSG gearbox. Powered by a 25.7kWh battery located at the rear of the estate version, the Superb SportLine iV has a WLTP all-electric driving range of 79 miles.
