The new grade, already popular in the recently updated Fabia range, sits between the SE Edition and SE L Edition models, and means the Kamiq now has four specs up for grabs.

Design upgrades from the SE Edition deliver 17-inch alloy wheels, black roof and door mirrors and privacy glass as standard. Inside, the new variant gets sports seats, cloth and microsuede upholstery, a three-spoke sports steering wheel and red trim on the dashboard. The cabin also comes with ambient lighting, black headlining and aluminium pedals.

Engine choices span 95hp and 116hp 1.0 TSI petrols, both with a manual gearbox as standard and the option of a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox for the higher output unit. WLTP combined CO2 emissions range from 122g/km for the 1.0 TSI 116hp manual to 126g/km for the 1.0 TSI 116hp DSG. The 1.0 TSI 95hp model returns 51.9mpg on the WLTP combined cycle while the 1.0 TSI 116hp has an official figure of 52.3mpg for the manual and 50.6mpg  for the range-topping DSG version.

Prices start from £25,855 for the 1.0 TSI 95hp model, rising to £28,185 for the 1.0 TSI 116hp DSG version. Order books open on 16 January 2025 and first deliveries are expected in the spring.
