The new X-Trail arrives in UK showrooms this July offering 2WD and 4WD with a choice of five or seven seats. Prices start from £22,995 for the entry-level five-seat 2WD Visia, which is £2,600 less than its predecessor. Meanwhile, the five-seat 2WD Acenta, expected to be the most popular model in the range, costs £24,795 – £800 less than the outgoing entry level Acenta.

From launch, the all-new X-Trail will be available in four familiar grades – Visia, Acenta, n-tec and Tekna. Visia models sport stylish 17-inch alloy wheels and also gain signature strip of LED daytime running lights. Inside, an array of technological features including Bluetooth connectivity and an MP3 compatible sound system with AUX-IN, air conditioning, heated door mirrors, follow-me-home lighting and an electric parking brake are also among the equipment included as standard. There’s also a 5-inch TFT colour display incorporating 12 graphic displays accessible on rotation.

Acenta, n-tec and Tekna variants are available in a choice of two and four-wheel drive variants, and are available with Nissan’s XTRONIC CVT transmission. The 4WD variants gain the latest generation of the ALL MODE 4×4-i system.

Beneath the bonnet, Nissan’s 1.6dCi 129bhp engine delivers 236lb.ft. In 2WD manual guise, all-new X-Trail offers emissions of 129g/km CO2 and impressive economy returns of up to 57.6 mpg (combined cycle).

All models are available with a choice of five or seven seats, with the latter adding £700 to the price of the
five-seat equivalent.

Meanwhile the carmaker has also announced prices for the refreshed Juke, which brings a revised engine line-up and new technology including the Nissan Safety Shield.

Arriving in dealerships in July, the new model is priced from £13,420 for the entry-level 1.6 93bhp in Visia guise. This model includes 16-inch alloys, along with air conditioning, a CD system with an AUX-IN connection for MP3 players, front and rear electric windows, a tyre pressure monitoring system and daytime running lights.

Topping the range is the Juke Tekna, available from £17,670. This features heated “Premium” leather seats and convenience features such as automatic headlights and rain-sensing wipers. The Tekna also introduces the Nissan safety Shield to the Juke line-up. This new technology assists drivers by providing lane departure and blind spot warnings and advanced moving object detection.

The new Juke is in showrooms June 2014.
