The fully electric crossover and family SUVs gain more technology and lower prices along with simplified and sportier three-version model ranges. Tech highlights include new One Pedal driving function, vehicle-to-load (V2L) adaptor, and access to the Plug & Charge service.

In addition, both the Megane and Scenic E-Tech electric now feature a new lower starting price. Prices now start from £32,495 OTR for the Megane E-Tech electric, while the family-focused Scenic E-Tech electric is now available from £37,195 OTR.

The pared-back line-up for both models now consists of Techno, Techno Esprit Alpine and Iconic Esprit Alpine.

The latter two grades draw on the sporting heritage from the Alpine brand. Examples include the ‘F1 blade’ for the Megane E-Tech Electric Esprit Alpine, finished in Matte Shadow Grey, with a matching finish to the rear diffuser.

The new Esprit Alpine models wear Ice Black logos front and rear, 20-inch Esprit Alpine alloy wheels, gloss black side window trim and Esprit Alpine badging. All paint options are now available at no extra cost.

The interior is fitted out with Esprit Alpine body-hugging seats complete with six-way electric adjustment as standard with two-way lumbar and massage functions on the driver’s seat. An embossed titanium black mesh made from recycled materials, finished with blue top-stitching, gives a standout look, accompanied by Esprit Alpine blue carpets.

Scenic Esprit Alpine models now get a face ID feature that automatically selects the appropriate driver profile and seat position, while both the Megane and Scenic E-Tech electric benefit from an improved rear-view camera with enhanced quality.

Megane E-Tech techno models now also come with a new rear lighting signature.

The new One Pedal functionality comes as standard across the range and gives smoother driving and optimal regeneration.

Both models are also now equipped with a new 11kW charger with a vehicle-to-load (V2L) adaptor that allows external 230V devices to be powered by energy stored in the car’s battery.

And Plug & Charge compatibility, first seen on the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric, is now included on every Megane and Scenic E-Tech Electric. Compatible chargers will recognise the car as soon as the driver plugs in, authorising the payment automatically and starting the charging process instantly. The Plug & Charge system is included in the Mobilize Charge Pass, with compatible chargers identified in the My Renault app and the vehicle’s OpenR Link display.

Orders for the updated Renault EVs are on track to open by the end of April.
