Osprey opens largest ultra-rapid charging hub in Merseyside

Osprey Charging has boosted access to EV charging in Merseyside with 24 new ultra-rapid EV chargers, including the area’s largest rapid EV charging hub to date.

Manor Farm will be the largest ultra-rapid EV charging hub in the Merseyside area

The new hub at Manor Farm Pub and Restaurant is located just off the M62, providing drivers between Liverpool and Manchester with 16 new super-fast charge points. Manor Farm will be the largest ultra-rapid EV charging hub in the Merseyside area, and the largest hub in Osprey’s longstanding partnership with landlord Marston’s Plc.

Together with a recently opened eight-charger Osprey hub at Cables Shopping Park in Prescot, these two hubs have added 24 new 300kW EV charge points to the county in April.

Osprey funds the installations and oversees the operation and maintenance of the chargers, all of which are powered by renewable energy.

Osprey Chargers are designed for easy use and simple payment, accepting contactless bank cards, Apple/Google Pay, the Osprey App and RFID card payments as well as payments through all major third-party payment methods including fleet cards.

Ian Johnston, CEO of Osprey Charging, said: “Osprey now has over 1,300 charging bays available in convenient locations across the UK, carefully designed to maximise space, reliability and ease of use. The new charging hubs in Merseyside form a vital part of the re-charging network that will enable the decarbonisation of transport in the UK.”
