New Jeep Compass available with hybrid, PHEV and pure EV powertrains
Jeep’s all-new Compass SUV has been uncovered with mild hybrid and plug-in hybrids plus fully electric versions with up to 403 miles of WLTP range.

The line-up will include three full-electric versions, rising to a 375hp all-wheel-drive model
Now in its third generation, the midsize SUV moves to the STLA Medium platform from parent firm Stellantis, also used for models such as the Vauxhall Grandland and Peugeot 3008.
This has been combined with the “legendary capabilities, robustness, cutting-edge technology and unparalleled versatility” and signature brand design cues such as the seven-slot grille, trapezoidal wheel arches and rugged cladding that ensure the new Compass “stays true to the Jeep DNA”.
To ensure such capabilities, ground clearance is up to 200mm, with an approach angle of 20 degrees, breakover angle of 15 degrees and departure angle of 26 degrees, plus a water fording depth of up to 470mm. All versions also come with the Jeep Selec-Terrain system, offering drive modes for various road conditions, as standard.
The new platform, 4.55m long, delivers 55mm of additional legroom along with an increased boot capacity of 45 litres, taking it to 550 litres, and 34 litres’ more capacity in the front interior storage compartment.
Powertrains include a 145hp 48V ‘e-Hybrid’ mild hybrid, a 195hp ‘e-Hybrid Plus’ plug-in hybrid and three full-electric versions, ranging from a 213hp front-wheel-drive version and rising up to a 375hp all-wheel-drive model that gains a 67hp motor for 3,100Nm at the rear wheels. This gives the ability to climb a 20% slope, even with zero traction on the front wheels.
Fully electric versions come with either a 73kWh battery for 310 miles of official range or a 96kWh pack for up to 403 miles. They also support up to 160kW DC charging, offering a 30-minute 20-80% recharging time, and come with an onboard charger with up to 22kW.
