Jaguar announces 2015 changes for XF range

By / 10 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

Under the changes, which are intended to beef up the XF’s value proposition in advance of the new model arriving next year, the SE, SE Business and Premium Luxury trim levels have been discontinued, as have the 3.0-litre V6 petrol and 237bhp 3.0-litre TDV6 diesel engines. As a result, the range now starts with the Luxury trim.

All models now come with Winter Comfort Pack and Parking Pack as standard, bringing heated seats and windscreen plus front parking sensors and a rear camera. In addition, higher-specification Portfolio, Diesel S Portfolio, XFR and XFR-S variants now all benefit from Blind Spot Monitor as standard, while most models in the range gain upgraded alloy wheels.

Also included in the changes is a £3,500 price drop for the Portfolio spec cars, despite the addition of new equipment.

The range also gains the new R-Sport Black derivative. Available exclusively with the 2.2-litre turbocharged 198bhp diesel engine, the model comes as standard with 20-inch Black Kalimnos alloy wheels and 770w Meridian Surround Sound system amongst other features. In total, the R-Sport Black offers an additional £8,770 worth of value over standard R-Sport models for a £2,100 increase in its OTR price.

Prices for the 2015 range start at £33,445 for the XF Luxury saloon with the 2.2 i4 161bhp engine and rise to £82,495 for the XFR-S Sportback with the 5.0 V8 543bhp unit.
