Honda begins fleet restructure ahead of new Civic launch
Honda has appointed Marc Samuel to lead its corporate fleet and SME operation under the newly created role of fleet sales operations manager.
Marc Samuel, fleet sales operations manager, Honda UK.
His initial remit will be to lead the fleet and corporate team as well as to build on the Platinum Programme fleet dealer programme. Relaunched from the end of last year, the scheme is already in place with over 100 of Honda’s 154-strong UK dealer network and provides a range of enhanced support and services to SME and fleet customers including 48-hour test drives of the new Civic as well as other Honda models.
Samuel’s position replaces the manager – corporate operations role previously held by Rob English and then covered on an interim basis by Andy Shields as a consultant, and is intended to cover the fleet operation on a more comprehensive basis.
Phil Webb, head of cars at Honda UK, commented: “Marc Samuel is a key appointment, who will head up Honda’s revitalised corporate sales team and the new Platinum Programme.
“We absolutely want to exceed expectations in the corporate world and ensure that we work with our dedicated dealer network to provide the best in customer service, as people expect of Honda.”
