Genesis ramps up focus on salary sacrifice sector after latest success
Korean automotive brand Genesis is continuing its work to drive uptake in the salary sacrifice sector on the back of its latest success.
The premium carmaker said its integration into the Hyundai UK business since the start of the year has enabled the expanded corporate sales team to put the brand in front of over 4,500 potential customers.
It’s already secured some 650 customer agreements with both clue-chip companies as well as public sector authorities, and the rollout of Genesis electrified vehicles in company car parks continues.
The Genesis brand launched in the UK in May 2021 and has been working to disrupt the market with its ‘We come to you’ service along with an award-winning line-up centred around design, luxury, performance and cutting-edge technology.
Since the merger with parent company Hyundai at the start of the year, Genesis has significantly grown its fleet and corporate team. The brand says the expanded set-up enables it to take advantage of the burgeoning market segment, the existing contacts within the wider business, and also helps new and existing customers, including salary sacrifice drivers, discover the Genesis difference.
Jonny Miller, brand director at Genesis Motor UK, commented: “Genesis has made a good start to the salary sacrifice car market; it’s about getting on to those all-important user-chooser lists with those customers and suppliers that offer such schemes.
“We have a strong proposition with our models that align with both corporate sustainability goals and the desires of the driver, who want both emission and financial efficiencies as well as slick design and luxury. Add in that employers also benefit from reduced National Insurance contributions, and we have created a win-win situation for all.”
The brand says it’s well-positioned to meet the rising demand for green and tax-efficient motoring.
The Genesis line-up originally included five petrol and diesel models launched in 2021 and has since expanded with three all-electric products, including the GV60, Electrified GV70 and Electrified G80.
Businesses offering Genesis vehicles through salary sacrifice schemes have reported high employee satisfaction, driven by the appeal of stylish, eco-friendly vehicles that provide both significant tax advantages and exceptional quality.
The brand’s 5 Year Care Plan includes servicing, discounted charging, road rescue and a Genesis personal assistant.
