Flock Mobility raises £1m to reinvent how organisations move people

Flock Mobility, a UK cleantech startup transforming how organisations run shared transport, has secured £1m in funding to drive expansion.

The funding will support Flock’s expansion into new verticals and accelerate product development

The round includes backing from Skyscanner founder Gareth Williams and a Boston-based family office, signalling strong investor confidence in Flock’s mission and momentum.

With demand increasing across both private and public markets, the funding will support Flock’s expansion into new verticals and accelerate product development.

Flock’s AI-powered, all-electric shared transport platform helps public and private sector operators move people more efficiently, more sustainably and at much lower cost.

The company is backed by the European Space Agency and already trusted by the NHS to manage its complex transport needs – cutting costs, reducing emissions and improving service quality while meeting net-zero targets.

This investment supports Flock’s expansion – adding more NHS partners, local authorities, and enterprise clients, including business parks and residential communities.

“This investment is a major vote of confidence in what we’re building,” said Terry Yoell, co-founder and CEO. “We’ve already proven the model with the NHS and Berkeley Group. Now we’re scaling fast into new sectors and new regions.”

Flock has also appointed two new senior leaders to support this growth. Samuel Ellis joins as head of growth and Rob Larmour becomes head of operations. The company is also hiring across product, data and operations, focusing on expanding its optimisation engine and AI capabilities.

Flock’s AI-powered platform helps enterprise and public sector customers run smarter, greener, more efficient fleets – cutting costs, boosting utilisation and driving down emissions.

It’s aimed at everything from self-driven vehicles to scheduled shuttles and demand-responsive shared, and increases fleet utilisation by adapting vehicle supply to meet user demand.

The platform’s modular approach enables fleet vehicles to be shared across an organisation for different business purposes throughout the day, maximising ROI for operators and partners.

The technology is already used by firms including Berkeley Group, which has deployed a dynamic timetabled shuttle service for a private residential estate.

Flock has also provided a self-drive service for community workers and a dedicated non-essential shared patient transport service for the rental department at NHS Newcastle-upon-Tyne trust.
