First speakers revealed for VRA seminar on 2023 remarketing outlook

The Vehicle Remarketing Association (VRA) has announced the speakers for its annual seminar, which will look at ‘2023: The Year Ahead in Remarketing’.

The free-to-attend event will take place on Tuesday 22nd November at The Slate, Warwick University, and will include speakers from the Bank of England, Birmingham Business School, Cap HPI, Auto Trader, Arval and Loughborough University.

Presentations will include Graeme Chaplin, agent, West Midlands and Oxfordshire, at the Bank of England, who will explore the general economic outlook for 2023.

David Bailey, professor of business economics at Birmingham Business School, will provide a general overview of the automotive sector, while Jim Saker, professor emeritus at Loughborough University, will examine the changing automotive retail landscape.

Dylan Setterfield, head of forecast strategy at Cap HPI, will speak on the used car market in 2023 and Jen Wilson, performance director and Louis Maxwell, EV insight manager, both of Auto Trader, will examine the coming explosion in used EVs.

Finally, Stuart Chamberlain, head of B2B and partnerships (remarketing) at Arval, will look at the practicalities of large-scale, used EV disposal.

The event open to anyone who works within the motor industry and has an interest in remarketing. Registration is available here and the meeting will also be accessible online.
