The company is a national joint venture set up to provide facilities management to BT's 8500 buildings across the UK and the vehicles will be deployed to different BT facilities nationwide.

The 135 new vans, which include Partner, Expert and Boxer models, are part of a total fleet of 700 and will operate with a Carillion full maintenance contract hire scheme over four years which includes servicing costs and an annual mileage of between 15 to 20,000.

'Peugeot was selected because they have a very modern range of vehicles of all sizes, from car-derived vans to 3.5 tonners,' says Monteray's fleet manager, Rob Gaskill.

Pat Brown, account manager at Carillion Fleet Management, added: 'Operators like Monteray Ltd don't want a one-size fits all vehicle, which is why we have worked with them to assess their usage patterns and identify the most suitable range of vehicles for the job.

'We have a long-standing vehicle supply relationship with Monteray Ltd and look forward to continuing our successful partnership in the years ahead.'
