DMN Group acquires Specialist Vehicle Logistics
DMN Group has acquired Specialist Vehicle Logistics (SVL) in a move to enhance its service delivery across the UK.
The acquisition enhances DMN’s vehicle logistics solutions capacity across the UK
Based in the West Midlands, SVL provides logistics services including car and light van movements, safety checks, MOTs, repairs, valeting and secure storage.
The acquisition gives DMN Group access to SVL’s c.500 vehicle storage capacity, increasing DMN’s pool management capabilities, service centre and maintenance bays as well as growing DMN’s capacity to carry out vehicle inspections, bodywork repairs and valeting services.
Birmingham-based DMN Group has been supporting fleets since 2011 and delivers a ‘one-stop shop’ for fleet support solutions, vehicle storage and offering bespoke transport solutions to suit all fleet needs, whether that be single vehicle, bulk, boutique fleet solutions, or specialist EV transport.
Nick Chadaway, managing director at DMN Group, said the acquisition serves as another important stage in DMN’s expansion.
“With everything SVL have to offer to fleet management services, we can continue to expand and enhance our capacity to deliver comprehensive vehicle logistics solutions across the UK.”
The group includes DMN Logistics, DMN Fleet Services, DMN Rapid Logistics, DMN Business Support, JLL Vehicle Distribution and Scotchegg. The business provides vehicle delivery across the fleet sector, transported urban vehicle delivery, fleet storage and management, fast response C&D and specialist recovery operations in the blue light sector plus group business support services.
Chadaway continued: “We appreciate that SVL shares the same values as DMN including providing a high level of professionalism, aiming to meet fleet clients’ expectations, putting customers’ needs first and delivering a first-class service. I believe there will be a cohesiveness from all parties which puts us in a strong position to capitalise on future growth opportunities.”
Andy Scott at Specialist Vehicle Logistics added: “This acquisition benefits both us and DMN Group. It will make the most of the services we have to offer whilst maintaining DMN’s expansion plans. We will support DMN as they continue to grow from strength to strength.”
