A new set of purpose-built tools that can solve grey fleet compliance for fleets is now available from Digital Innk.

Part of the ViSN platform, the compliance tool and automated driving licence checking solution enable complex administrative tasks to be completed in minutes.

The driving licence checker allows fleet managers to check licences every three, six or 12 months, depending on the risk profile. Any issues are automatically flagged, and driver legal acceptance is completed with an e-mandate.

And fleet managers can monitor progress on a cloud-based dashboard, which provides status and exceptions immediately. Meanwhile, the driver app allows health inspections to be scheduled for completion and drivers can self-certify that they are fit to drive.

There are an estimated 14 million grey fleet drivers in the UK and the average grey fleet vehicle is 8.1 years old and more likely to have maintenance issues, according to the BVRLA, bringing complex compliance issues for companies.
