Cold Move furthers employee development with Driver CPC training
'Cold Move is totally committed to employee development and the Driver CPC Training programme that has been developed by AA DriveTech will only further improve the performance and safety of our participating employees,' said operations director Mike Lythgoe. 'We can see why the FSDF elected to have AA DriveTech as a partner. They have gone out of their way to provide the courses we want and on the days and in the locations we want them, creating the minimum disruption to our business.'
Cold Move employees will be experiencing two of the courses specifically developed for FSDF members – The Food Quality Management Workshop and The On-Vehicle Equipment Workshop – as well as six of AA DriveTech's core Driver CPC courses: Safe Culture Workshop, Tachograph Rules & Drivers' Hours Workshop, Eco Driving Workshop, Good Samaritan Workshop, Reversing & Manoeuvring Workshop and Vehicle Checks & Effective Loading Workshop.
All the courses will be delivered at Cold Move's Warrington depot over weekends between August 2011 and May 2013.
Jason Vallint, business development director at AA DriveTech, commented: 'We're delighted to get our first FSDF client on board. We've developed a suite of specialist Driver CPC courses for the Food Distribution sector, which we hope will become the benchmark for this industry.'
