Citroën C5 X, C4 and ë-C4 updated with new tech
Citroën has updated its C5 X flagship and the C4 and ë-C4 with an array of new technology solutions.
The updates introduced new tech and design features for selected C4 and ë-C4 variants
The C5 X, which launched last year, now gains enhanced driver assistance features for Shine Plus models.
The Highway Integrated Assist Plus, which is designed primarily for dual carriageways and motorway driving, now includes Semi-Automatic Lane Change and Anticipated Intelligent Speed Assist. The former uses two sensors at the front of the vehicle to ensure smooth and seamless progress when changing lanes. Anticipated Intelligent Speed Assist uses GPS to provide early recognition of speed signs which, when combined with using Highway Integrated Assist Plus, will propose an adjusted speed to the driver.
For the C4 and ë-C4, the updates introduced new tech and design features for selected variants.
For C4 Sense Plus, C-Series Edition and Shine Plus models, and ë-C4 C-Series Edition and Shine Plus models, this includes the arrival of the latest My Citroën Drive Plus infotainment system. Already featured in the C5 X and ë-C4 X, this delivers an improved user experience on the 10-inch HD touchscreen. The optional wireless smartphone charging has also been updated to 15W for faster charging of mobile devices.
Customers can also choose a bi-tone contrasting roof colour for C4 Sense Plus, C-Series Edition and Shine Plus models. On ë-C4, the bi-tone roof will be available on C-Series Edition and Shine Plus variants.
The C5 X is available with petrol and plug-in hybrid powertrains and is priced from £28,670.
The C4 is available with a variety of petrol and diesel engines, priced from £22,060 while the fully electric ë-C4 delivers up to 219 miles of range (WLTP) and costs from £31,995.
