The software support developer role is centred around Chevin’s FleetWave web-based enterprise fleet solution, used to manage 700,000 fleet vehicles around the world with customers including Bristol City Council, Honda Motor Europe and Marie Stopes International.

Baker brings almost a quarter of a century of experience in the IT sector, much of it involving transport solutions. Most recently, he has designed and coded a database system that facilitates the daily operations of a van sales fleet.

Baker said: ‘I’m looking forward to working at Chevin. The company has an excellent reputation both in the IT and fleet industries for the quality of its products.’

Managing director Ashley Sowerby said: ‘As a company, we are continuing to expand and make new appointments, and are very pleased to welcome Andrew to our team.’
