The VE103 document is required to be carried by drivers of leased or hired vehicles when taking their vehicle abroad; earlier this summer the BVRLA cautioned that increasing take-up of personal contract hire could see more drivers flouting the legislation.

The new Arval service will help drivers obtain VE103s quickly and easily, covering more than 160,000 vehicles, and is being developed in partnership with outsourced service and solutions provider All Fleet Services.

Joel Lund, service delivery director for Arval, commented: “As a legal requirement, these documents are very important to our customers and it’s really important we can make the process fast and easy for them. We selected All Fleet Services as our preferred provider for this reason. They impressed us with their expertise and commitment to delivering a seamless digital solution for the benefit of our customers.”

In 2017, All Fleet Services produced 35,000 VE103 documents for their clients’ drivers and expects this number to increase by approximately 15% in 2018 as a result of strong take-up of its services.

Chris Hart, sales director for All Fleet Services, added that the new service for Arval is one of a number of digital solutions that it’s working on, both for the wider market and bespoke for specific clients.

“We very much see ourselves now as a technology business supported by great people,” he added.
